Love this guy Tom “Big Al” Schreiter; he always shares great marketing secrets.  I guess they’re not secret anymore…

Tip #1 – Secret #1 exposed.  Tom tells a story about ‘this friend’ who claimed Facebook ruined his business.  His friend explains, “I was so excited about my company.  Every time the company had an announcement, an event, a promotion, or a trip to win, I posted it on my Facebook page.  Later, when I called my friends to prospect them, they all said that they already knew about my business from my Facebook page, and that they weren’t interested.”  secrets

Ouch.

Facebook can be awesome for our business … or it can ruin our business.  Think carefully about what we post and what our long-term strategy will be with our Facebook friends.

Tip #2 – Secret #2 exposed.  Tom was talkin’ to a distributor who sells a healthy snack.  He asked her where she found her best prospects.  She said, “It’s easy.  At work.  I simply follow people when they go to the vending machine.  Then I stand next to them, eat my healthy snack, and they always ask me how they can get some healthy snacks, too,”

She is selling lots of healthy snacks and making a great part-time income at work.

Meanwhile, another distributor is doing this:

    1. Creating a healthy snack brochure.
    2. Designing the copy for the web page.
    3. Hiring someone to create the web pages.
    4. Writing an autoresponder series
    5. Testing a Google Adword keyword group.
    6. Creating an order page.
    7. Spamming Facebook   groups.
    8. Etc., etc., etc.

Sometimes we forget that network marketing is a people-to-people business.  🙂

The Secret to Attracting What You Want

If the Law of Attraction is so simple, then why do so many people struggle when it comes to attracting what they truly want?  I want to tell you a story first!

Well, there’s an old story about a man who heard about a stream where there’s supposed to be great fishing.  So one day, he goes to the stream, tosses in his line and waits.

While he’s waiting, he looks down the bank and sees an old man pulling out one fish after another.  The younger man watches as the older one measures each fish with a broken ruler.  If the fish is bigger than the broken ruler, the older man tosses it back into the stream.  But if the fish is smaller than the ruler, he puts the fish in his bucket.

The Fly FishermanThe younger man thinks, “I wonder why he’s throwing the big fish back.  Do they get bony if they get big or is there some sort of license required that I don’t know about that says we’re only allowed to keep fish that are under a certain size?”

After watching for awhile, the younger man finally interrupts the older one and says, “Excuse me, but I’ve been watching you pull in all those fish. You’re pulling in so many, but why do you throw the big ones back and keep the little ones?”

And the old man says, “Buddy, you see that broken ruler on the edge of the riverbank?”  And the younger man says, “Yes.”  And the older man says, “That broken ruler is broken at exactly the size of the frying pan I use.”

You’d probably laugh at a fisherman who wouldn’t realize he could eat bigger fish, even with a small frying pan.  However, this is the perfect analogy for what most people do in their lives.

The stream of life tosses you a big fish in the form of an idea or a possibility.  You measure it by the size of the frying pan you have, which is your known world, or what you’ve already accomplished.  You say,

      • “Well, I don’t have the money to do that.
      • “I don’t have the experience.
      • “I’m not old enough or young enough.”

What Do You See?Essentially, you toss the idea or possibility back to the stream of life and say, “Give me a fish that fits in the frying pan I’ve got, or the life I know.”

These limitations that you place on yourself are called paradigms.  A paradigm is a collection of thought patterns that produce habits, that produce results… that may or may not be in harmony with what you would really love.  If you want to know what your paradigms are producing in your life, all you have to do is look at your current results — because your results are a perfect mirror for the paradigms that you think from and live by.

If you have a dream for your life but that dream is not happening for you, the great news is that you can change your paradigms to better service and manifest your dreams. This is called a paradigm shift, and all it requires is shifting your perspective.  By becoming aware of your paradigms, and ensuring you have expansive and empowering ones in place, you’ll be truly astounded by how quickly you’re able to shift your thoughts and create extraordinary results in your life that you’re absolutely in love with!  😉

Good morning. As much as Wall Street loves rumors, Washington DC is the major league.  The latest rumors are that Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell might not be nominated for a second term to lead the Fed.  While his tenure has been little different than his prior two predecessors given the crises he’s had to deal with, some progressives don’t think the Fed chair has done enough on income inequality and other matters. That could lead the White House to find a more radical leader for the central bank, potentially even one willing to embrace the latest economic theories such

Letting Go Of Guilt “Guilt can stop us from taking healthy care of ourselves.” –Melody Beattie Guilt is like a rock.  It sits in the pit of our stomachs and can weigh down our every thought, behavior, and action.  It can distract us all throughout the day and keep us awake at night.  Our muscles work overtime just to carry it around, and yet we still hold onto it. It’s imperative that we stop feeling so guilty. That’s not to say that you shouldn’t feel guilt.  True guilt is a loving instrument from Spiritual Guidance used to convict, correct, and confirm your

Good morning. Technology companies need to constantly innovate.  That results in a high amount of money being spent on research and development, which in turn helps keep a company’s taxes lower than a company that makes the same product year-in, year-out. So it’s no surprise that regulators are always on the lookout for ways to try and get more taxes out of these massive firms that often have little to no earnings.  One proposal is being floated for a new generation of technology: a space tax.  Or, more specifically, a per-passenger tax on space flights like the ones just completed

Good morning. The rise of retail traders over the past year has likely saved a number of companies from bankruptcy, or helped bankrupt companies bounce back and exit bankruptcy faster.  That’s created a lot of interest in finding short squeeze stocks for big, fast profits.  It’s also driven traders into options to play the trend as well. One area can also be at play for big bucks: Corporate bond markets. Case in point, 2026 bonds for AMC Entertainment (AMC) traded as low as 5 cents on the dollar last year, but have no rallied back to par.  Buyers would have

Good morning. Investors sometime take a very binary approach to stocks.  They’re either all-in on a position, or they’re in cash or a different trade.  Rather than buy all at once, however, astute traders know when to average in.  As long as a company’s prospects don’t fundamentally change, this move allows investors to still have the option of cash, with the ability to buy more shares of a company when the market declines. So while Goldman Sachs (GS) recently warned clients not to buy Monday’s drop, retail investors saw a dip to buy instead.  With stocks hitting resistance at their

Good morning. The stock market was in freefall Monday, much like a mini-version of its March 2020 decline.  Is this the next big sell-off?  Probably not.  Monday’s fears, based on rising mask mandate re-impositions and a few select lockdown threats around the world, are likely being overblown. In the meantime, the bigger market concern is whether or not the current economic growth is sustainable.  The facts are that it will likely slow.  Not the best news, but not the worst news either.  And inflation expectations continue to rise.  But with a lumber market shouting “timber” as it comes back down
