AttendanceGood morning.
Wednesday’s market rally proved short-lived.  That’s likely because markets priced in an aggressive Fed move of 0.5-0.75 percent, and came in on the lower end.  However, the Fed has made it clear that they’re working to crush inflation now, even if that means at the expense of the stock market.
That means traders need to reset their expectations.  A rising market is likely off the table for the next few months.  We could get a melt-up in the coming months, but with inflation already high and last week’s GDP drop, it’s looking unlikely.  Stocks are near a bear market.  It will likely a longer one than the blink-and-you-missed-it drop in March 2020.
Look to buy quality companies and dividend growth plays, and look for quicker trades on both the upside and the downside, as bear markets tend to be volatile.

Now here’s the rest of the news:

Trillions In Paper Assets Are About To Evaporate, And THIS Proves It
Even though there have been so many problems over the last 12 months, many Americans believe everything will be okay because stock prices remained stubbornly high.  But now that stock prices are crashing, the cold, harsh reality is starting to set in… [Read Here]

Mothers-Day_1Good morning.
Most sectors of the economy have been on fire this year.  But, there’s one area that’s steeply in a bear market.  It’s the media, more specifically the news media.  Cable news outlets have reported viewer drops as much as 50 percent.  And the New York Times Company (NYT) reported a sharp slowdown in growth.
It’s no surprise that the news media benefited in the past few years from the public’s interest in all things Donald Trump.  Now, with Trump out of the White House and the media avoiding stories about him, it’s no surprise that viewers are going elsewhere.

Now here’s the rest of the news:

Pension Plans Heading Way of the Dodo
The flightless dodo bird went extinct around 1662 after 23 million years of existence.  In the wake of the COVID-19 recession, it looks like pension plans, both public and private, are headed the same way.  Here’s a possible solution… [Read Here]

Says it AllGood morning.
It was late in the trading session with less than an hour to go until the close, and suddenly, the market began falling.  In the bigger picture, it doesn’t look like much, but it was quick.
I sat back and listened to music as the 1-minute charts kept posting large red candles.  It was kind of beautiful to see.  Like somehow it was moving to the music.  I guess the song may have had something to do with it.  It was “Gravity” by John Mayer.

Kim Garst shared that some fundamental changes have happened all across the world and some of these shifts will be permanent!

AND…these shifts are creating opportunities!

The knowledge based industry is at an all time high

  • If you’ve ever taken a course or tried to create one, you know that there are a lot of pieces and parts to put one together.
  • Does the thought of putting a course together make your brain freeze and cause you to stand still like a deer in headlights?
  • Or, do you feel like the tech pieces are just too overwhelming and too complicated for you to do?  I hear this all the time!

That’s why the concept of creating a mini-offer with a simple PDF is the perfect way to dip your toes in.

So, what’s a mini offer?Mini Offer Ideas

It could be an eBook, a worksheet, a calendar, a toolkit, templates, etc.

AND creating a PDF is so simple that anyone can do it

AND…it doesn’t suck down a bunch of your time or budget to create.

Why do I think this?  Because I’ve created tiny offers for years AND I’m seeing so many enterprising entrepreneurs taking small nuggets of information and selling them in PDF format.  Tiny offers are working!!

If you’ve been overwhelmed by it all in the past and feel like the tech pieces were too complicated, fear not!  If you can use a Google or Word doc, YOU CAN DO THIS!

Totally agree with what “Big Al” said in the Fat Boy Report.

I have been stuck at home for a week!  I have to do something about my non-stop appetite.

Never Leave The House Hungry.

Just like grocery shopping after you’ve eaten, you are very likely to spend less… you don’t want to go grocery shopping when you’re hungry!  You are more likely to buy and eat far less unhealthy food.  [possibly!]… a diet tip?

a prosperity tip? [absolutely!]  2019 is over 1/3 gone!

Most New Year’s goals are forgotten … another year of their life will be wasted … Why?

Likely … we choose the wrong goals.  Enjoy a bountiful and more successful life.  Listen to the words, you speak!  Re-read a child’s ‘children book’ again!

Goals Aren't Working

Here’s a book to fix “Some Bad News.”

Available in Audio, Ebook, and Paperback.

I’m pleased to call Tom “Big Al” Schreiter a friend and mentor.

Have a great week!

Today “small town” in Newfoundland is… Salt Harbour. May 15, 2021 Struggling … how to break bad habits? “Nothing is impossible.  The word itself say, ‘I’m possible.’” –Audrey Hepburn There’s no one single reason why we struggle — to break bad habits, achieve our goals, or excel in our desired domain — but more often than not, the biggest challenge is sitting between your two ears. Yes, your mind is incredibly powerful, and quite frankly, it’s a double-edge sword.  The stories you tell yourself, the things you believe about yourself, and the way you talk to yourself can either be

Today! May 14, 2021 Good morning. One year ago, oil prices went negative as traders feared that the pandemic would lead to prolonged drops in oil use and got caught in trades they couldn’t get out of.  Today, oil and gasoline prices have held up well in inventory reports.  However, supply issues remain in the South and up and down the East Coast, even as Colonial pipeline paid a $5 million ransom to the hackers who shut down their system.  A number of states have declared emergencies as supplies have run low. It just goes to show that oil, one

Good morning. Meme stocks are back!  Well, sort of. A spike in companies like AMC Entertainment (AMC) and GameStop (GME) occurred yesterday.  GameStop was even halted multiple times on the way up (but not on the way down).  Oddly, this may be an early sign that markets are looking for a short-term bottom, given the sharp reversals higher. On CNBC, analyst Jim Cramer came out against the traders of meme stocks using sites like Reddit’s Wall Street Bets, to find the meme stock opportunities in the first place.  Tough words for someone whose television show features sound effects.  But for

Good morning. The good news?  Inflation has slightly slowed on a year-over-year basis, for the first time in seven months.  The bad news?  It’s still high at 8.3 percent.  And it came in higher than expectations. Looking at the data shows some reasons for the unexpected strength.  Most components of CPI still rose more than 6 percent in April.  But soaring food prices – which we’ve warned about fairly often — were a big contributor.  Another big move higher was record airfare prices, as high fuel costs and a reopened economy drove prices up. The data doesn’t give too much

Good morning. Typically, growth stocks lead the market.  That’s because these companies have the ability to scale up rapidly, and one of the best signs of a stock heading higher over the long haul is increased earnings. Yet every few years, value stocks have their time to shine.  A year ago, Warren Buffett’s performance as being derided.  Yet he’s buying stocks now.  In contrast, Ark Innovation, the hypergrowth fund managed by Cathie Wood, is now not just down relative to Buffett — but it’s underperforming the S&P 500 since its inception. Can these trends reverse in time?  Yes.  Will they

05-MAY 10-2022

Good morning. Any econ 101 student can tell you that there’s a lag effect between something like, say, the creation of trillions of dollars in spending, and inflation rates reflecting that.  We’re seeing that trend play out today, with the highest inflation levels in decades. The good news?  Some of that new money first went to financial markets, rather than in goods and services.  That helped keep many things affordable, especially during the initial lockdown phase of the pandemic.  But today, we’re seeing the impacts of those past lockdowns (and current ones).  And we’re seeing that handing out money directly

05-MAY 09-2022

Good morning. People don’t mind inflation when it hits things like assets.  When stocks and home prices are rising, consumers feel wealthier.  This “wealth effect” tends to be beneficial to spending, which then become a self-fulfilling prophecy. The 2009-2020 market rally started with this effect.  The bank bailouts propped up the banks, but didn’t cause inflation on Main Street.  Today, thanks to the stimulus measures during the pandemic, Main Street went on a spending binge.  That’s caused a reverse wealth effect as the prices of goods like food and utilities are rising at a rapid rate — but now asset
