Mother's Day_1 Good morning.
Most sectors of the economy have been on fire this year.  But, there’s one area that’s steeply in a bear market.  It’s the media, more specifically the news media.  Cable news outlets have reported viewer drops as much as 50 percent.  And the New York Times Company (NYT) reported a sharp slowdown in growth.
It’s no surprise that the news media benefited in the past few years from the public’s interest in all things Donald Trump.  Now, with Trump out of the White House and the media avoiding stories about him, it’s no surprise that viewers are going elsewhere.

Now here’s the rest of the news:

Pension Plans Heading Way of the Dodo
The flightless dodo bird went extinct around 1662 after 23 million years of existence.  In the wake of the COVID-19 recession, it looks like pension plans, both public and private, are headed the same way.  Here’s a possible solution… [Read Here]

Says it AllGood morning.
It was late in the trading session with less than an hour to go until the close, and suddenly, the market began falling.  In the bigger picture, it doesn’t look like much, but it was quick.
I sat back and listened to music as the 1-minute charts kept posting large red candles.  It was kind of beautiful to see.  Like somehow it was moving to the music.  I guess the song may have had something to do with it.  It was “Gravity” by John Mayer.

Kim Garst shared that some fundamental changes have happened all across the world and some of these shifts will be permanent!

AND…these shifts are creating opportunities!

The knowledge based industry is at an all time high

  • If you’ve ever taken a course or tried to create one, you know that there are a lot of pieces and parts to put one together.
  • Does the thought of putting a course together make your brain freeze and cause you to stand still like a deer in headlights?
  • Or, do you feel like the tech pieces are just too overwhelming and too complicated for you to do?  I hear this all the time!

That’s why the concept of creating a mini-offer with a simple PDF is the perfect way to dip your toes in.

So, what’s a mini offer?Mini Offer Ideas

It could be an eBook, a worksheet, a calendar, a toolkit, templates, etc.

There are so many ways that you can share your knowledge with your community AND fill a need right now.

AND creating a PDF is so simple that anyone can do it

AND…it doesn’t suck down a bunch of your time or budget to create.

Why do I think this?  Because I’ve created tiny offers for years AND I’m seeing so many enterprising entrepreneurs taking small nuggets of information and selling them in PDF format.  Tiny offers are working!!

If you’ve been overwhelmed by it all in the past and feel like the tech pieces were too complicated, fear not!  If you can use a Google or Word doc, YOU CAN DO THIS!

Totally agree with what “Big Al” said in the Fat Boy Report.

I have been stuck at home for a week!  I have to do something about my non-stop appetite.

Never Leave The House Hungry.

Just like grocery shopping after you’ve eaten, you are very likely to spend less… you don’t want to go grocery shopping when you’re hungry!  You are more likely to buy and eat far less unhealthy food.  [possibly!]… a diet tip?

a prosperity tip? [absolutely!]  2019 is over 1/3 gone!

Most New Year’s goals are forgotten … another year of their life will be wasted … Why?

Likely … we choose the wrong goals.  Enjoy a bountiful and more successful life.  Listen to the words, you speak!  Re-read a child’s ‘children book’ again!

Goals Aren't Working

Here’s a book to fix “Some Bad News.”

Available in Audio, Ebook, and Paperback.

I’m pleased to call Tom “Big Al” Schreiter a friend and mentor.

Have a great week!

Ten Ways To Foster Innovation In order to compete effectively, we must look for new and better ways to accomplish our mission.  We must find creative methods to delight our customers.  And we must find innovative strategies for getting more done with fewer resources. With things changing as rapidly as they are, doing things the old way won’t be profitable for very long.  To grow, we must be constantly innovating. An innovative company attracts and keeps better employees.  People want to be part of something creative.  It’s stimulating and it’s fun. Here are ten things you can do to foster

Good morning. We’re fans of following company insiders when they buy their own shares.  That’s because they only buy if they see a good value going forward.  Most company insiders are partially compensated in shares, so they have plenty of reasons to sell, from portfolio diversification to big spending bills like a second house or divorce. Overall, buying with company insiders produces excess returns compared to the market.  But they’re not the only insider group out there. Consider Congress.  Last year, two senators sold off stocks after an early hearing on Covid and before the big crash.  House Speaker Nancy

Good morning. Yesterday marked the 13th anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers, a “victim” of over leverage on the US housing market.  Yesterday also marked the day when Evergrande, a Chinese real estate firm, stated that it wouldn’t pay interest on its already-collapsing bonds. For years, many have warned about the size and rate of China’s real estate buildup, from empty cities to investment homes that sit unused (one of the few places where citizens can park cash).  While we’re optimistic that the damage can be contained to China and not impact global growth too much, we also can’t

Good morning. We’ve warned for weeks that stocks are at elevated levels, and that a modest pullback would be likely.  Now, however, investor sentiment has gotten heavily bearish, for more than just a small pullback. That’s somewhat concerning, as fears of a market pullback could lead to enough profit-taking and cash-raising that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.  However, a market so quick to get so bearish could also be a sign that there’s still a major rally ahead.  Bull markets don’t die when investors get fearful.  Rather, it’s when investors get so bullish that they go all-in at record highs.

Good morning. With Labor Day weekend over, oil prices should be trending down.  The summer driving season in North America is over, and it’s largely an American phenomenon.  However, expectations for a potentially colder-than-average winter are keeping a bid under oil prices right now. At a time when traders typically expect lower prices going forward, oil is now at a 5-week high and trending higher.  And Bank of America analysts see crude oil pumping as much as $100 per barrel under an exceptionally cold winter scenario.  It’s likely that gas prices may remain higher for longer than expected, and can

Good morning. Last week, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned that the measures underway to preserve cash at the US Treasury were likely to run out in mid-October.  Unless Congress acts to raise the debt ceiling, there could be a potentially debt cliff where a number of government programs simply don’t get paid. That’s a scenario that nearly unfolded in 2011. 10 years ago, it also provided the stock market with a flat return for the year and a closest thing to a selloff since the housing crisis two years before that.  Last week’s market weakness may be starting to reflect

September 12, 2020 Whew! This year has definitely been one for the books. Between the “illness”, unrest, and just general uncertainty 2020 can move anytime! But, you know what really helps me when things get super overwhelming? Gratitude. Staying focused on the things
