Business '21Good morning.
Earnings season offers a big opportunity for markets to move in either direction.  With the market currently contending with the issues that come from rising interest rates, and the latest Covid variant (which Bill Gates say may be the last before Covid becomes more seasonal like the flu), this quarterly earnings report could be a make-or-break.
While the data from the last quarter of 2021 are already in the rear-view mirror, early indications are that overall earnings for the S&P 500 are up 49 percent.  That’s hugely bullish, and some industries are likely to move higher no matter what happens to the overall economy in the coming year.
Traders will likely have some great opportunities going into this earnings season, and to find some bargains among companies that performed well but haven’t been treated well from the market lately.

Now here’s the rest of the news:

Trump Escapes Again!Good morning.
Let’s be honest, there have been a lot of crazy tweets so far this year.  You might have missed the one from billionaire Elon Musk about ditching traditional social media.  The world’s wealthiest man tweeted to “Use Signal,” a rival to the WhatsApp messaging system.  Traders picked up on the tweet, and bought shares… of unrelated company Signal Advance (SIGL).  The micro-cap healthcare tech company saw its size balloon from a $7 million valuation to $100 million before the trading deluge peaked out.
Now that shares have given back most of that move, it might be wise to look out for other micro-cap companies whose name can get confused with a bigger, yet unrelated name.  Or, better yet, some enterprising fund manager should solicit capital to start a fund with all such names to capture those 1,000% profits when other traders blindly pile in. Buy buyer beware: This is the kind of confusion that sets in when traders are on the hunt for big profits, a caution-to-the-wind attitude that tends to occur near market tops.

and your day is going, howWhat are your “Money Beliefs?”
When working together in a marriage or partnership, having the same or similar money mindset is so important for increasing impact and making changes.
If you have two different directions of where you see your businesses finances going, it’s important to have a conversa-tion and decide whether working together is something you want to do as you would make more of a difference with a like minded money mindset.  In my marriage, if it weren’t for Caryl, I would probably invest every dollar we made and would have over 50 coaches.  Caryl helps me see things a differently and is super supportive.  She completes me!

In this video, Ray & Jessica Higdon talk about challenging your money mindset and your beliefs sur-rounding finances in order to increase your business growth and make a bigger difference.

We strongly suggest you get… The Cold Market Recruiting Blueprint… you’ll be very glad you did.  😉

WOW — what a great weekend … past!  Day #8

  • Fired up my new website
  • Moved a couple of LED lights around
  • Set up my Green Screen backdrop for doing training video
  • Started reading my third book this month
  • Checked the LOTTO Ticket!  [Didn’t win yet, however!]
  • FINALLY got the boxes in the storage area — LABELLED
  • I took the time to learn, really learn photo-editing, particularly about ‘layers’
  • And, how to clear unwanted objects from photo backgrounds.  BONUS!!  [This last ‘clearing of unwanted objects’ can be used throughout life!]

Mighty WomanCaryl had an equally productive weekend!  In part — going for a walk outside in the sunshine!  Pre-preparing lunches for work, freezing meals instead of rushing around on grocery-night, and reading the thickest book I’ve ever seen someone hold sitting in a recliner!  [If she falls asleep — while reading — this book will crush her.]  🙂

When I’m going through large spurts of growth and discomfort, I journal.  Most of it incoherent non-sense, but the act of writing allows me to work through my emotions and understand my own fears.  Journaling often takes my anxiety from an 8 out of 10, down to a 3 or 4.

I believe I’ve narrowed down why I feel so “shitty” Thursday night before I go to bed, and why I wake the next morning with “flu like symptoms” … sore joints and achy muscles accompanied with a pounding headache.

I’m very please I can say I’m not allergic to any food … I DO BELIEVE I have been poisoned.  The poison, I BELIEVE, is monosodium glutamate [MSG].  Unfortunately it takes several days to work through my body … even weeks!

Good morning. Oil prices have been driven by an imbalance between supply and demand for the past few years.  While OPEC has looked to gradually raise output, the cartel is now expecting markets to move into surplus this year.  That’s in contrast to other estimates right now. OPEC’s research may be the first step towards moving to cut its total output, potentially later in the year by likely some time in 2023.  That could help put a floor under oil, which has ranged as low as $90 recently after getting as high as $120 earlier in the year. While oil

Good morning. It finally happened.  After months of rising higher and higher on an annualized basis, inflation has finally cracked.  While the market liked the read of “only” an 8.5 percent year-over-year increase, it’s still incredibly high by any standard. And inflation is cumulative.  So the longer it’s higher than average, the more destructive it will be for investors over time.  While it’s a sign of good news, getting inflation down faster still means the economy will need to see a bigger slowdown from where it’s at now. So while markets jumped on the news, it’s possible that as the

Good morning. Stocks have been trending up for the past few weeks.  And with earnings season going fairly well, many traders may think the worst is over.  Yet, with the Federal Reserve rapidly tightening monetary conditions, and with inflation still running rampant, we may yet see another leg down for the markets. As with 2008, when the idea made the rounds that the pain in the subprime mortgage space was “contained,” there are any number of potential shocks to the economy that could cause the recent rally to stall.  We may already see that with the number of chipmakers this

Good morning. When it comes to America’s lawmaking process, you can get a good idea of what will happen by taking a law’s title and assuming the opposite.  Many are taking that approach with the “Inflation Reduction Act,” a law just passed by the Senate and moving to the House for a vote. Rather than cut back government spending, the law looks to increase it by hundreds of billions of dollars.  With the government running a deficit, chances are this legislation will add to, not reduce, inflationary pressures. That’s especially good news for the wealthy, as high-earners will be largely

Good morning. Friday’s strong jobs report brought the unemployment rate down to 3.5 percent.  While most would see that as good news, typically, the economy is at this level of employment at an economic peak.  Similar levels in 2020, 2007, and 2000 can attest to that. This strong report also gives the Fed a reason to keep aggressively raising interest rates.  The economy won’t cool down until more people are losing jobs than gaining them.  And given how fast the Fed has been hiking rates, the more likely it is that they could fuel a “hard landing” that they’re working

Only days away now! St. John’s Quidi Vidi inlet… August 07, 2021 Cultivating A Beginner’s Mindset “In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s there are few.” –Shunryu Suzuki If it’s true what they say, that no one likes a know-it-all, what happens when the know-it-all lives in your head?  Funny enough, when people think they know all there is to know on a subject, they prove to be more closed-minded.  And daresay, less enjoyable to be around. The question then becomes: how can you embrace more of a beginner’s mindset, which reflects humility with respect

Today! August 06, 2021 Good morning. Rising Delta-variant cases, inflation fears, supply chain issues – the market is dealing with a lot right now.  That’s caused the market to feel like it’s sagging and about to drop, even when stocks are still just under all-time highs. Looking at the big tech space, which is largely rallying once again, and which makes up the biggest part of the market, it’s clear that the recent fears are just part of the “wall of worry” that the stock market sees during a bull market.  That view is also supported by Goldman Sachs
